By
far and away the most popular and practical type of accommodation
for visitors to Ireland are the " Bed and Breakfast " ("B &
B") houses, which provide excellent overnight board with all mod.
Cons. And a hearty Irish breakfast. (An Irish breakfast is like
a full English breakfast, only more so, as it is supplemented by
many local varieties of bread only baked in Ireland.)
The keynote characteristics of the "B & Bs" selected by ADVENTURE
DIVING are quality of accommodation (eg. en suite bathrooms), ambience
and convenience of location. You will be well looked after by friendly
local people and you will not have far to travel each day to your
dive site.
Eating out can be anything from a quick bite to a gastronomic experience... but
always fun. "Pub grub" has developed into a modestly priced alternative
to haute cuisine and is often accompanied by lively entertainment,
as many pubs and bars lay on musical entertainment several nights
a week. Expect the locals to make friends with you ,and to toast
your health... frequently ! For more formal dining out, there is
a wealth of good restaurants within striking distance on every coast.
The style of the food is simple and direct, emphasising the outstanding
quality of the country's primary products : seafood, beef and pork.
Believe us, you will need the exercise next day, to preserve your
silhouette.
For the days when you don't want to lose a minute from your diving
activities, we can arrange packed lunches.
